The safety of our members is a high priority in our space. We provide safety training on equipment and visible indicators for safe operation on machines that require them.
The Safety Team will respond to reports of unsafe equipment or activity. Contact the team by email at safety@bereamakerspace.org or on Slack with @safety. If you would like to join the team, volunteer at a member meeting.
Ultimately, the responsibility for your safety remains with you.
- Do not attempt to bypass safety equipment and procedures.
- Do not operate machinery irresponsibly or while impaired.
- If you are uncomfortable or uncertain, ask another member to assist you.
- Do not allow guests or children to operate equipment unassisted or untrained.
